European Academy Schleswig-Holstein

Market and migration, fundamental rights and Green Deal, values and growth – the list of European topics is extensive. 

Since 1978 first established in Leck, from 1999 onwards in Sankelmark, the European Academy Schleswig-Holstein invites you to debate on topics about European politics and planning, questions, challenges and controversies. It is the academy’s goal to promote a vivid European consciousness. 

Besides information about institutions and the politics of the European Union, the academy provides insights on politics, history, culture and everyday life of the European neighbors. 

The relations between minorities and peoples of minorities in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany and Europe create a nuanced approach to the European topics. In this context, the academy houses the “DialogForumNorden”, which is a conglomerate of minority representatives from Schleswig-Holstein and Northern Schleswig/ Region Syddanmark.
