Klaus-Uwe Nommensen

Glass makes things visible, but not tangible: ever since Klaus-Uwe Nommensen discovered glass as a material for his own artistic work, this actually banal observation has become a symbol of the limited human quest for knowledge.

His home town in the Lüneburg Heath, and therefore also the teenager, was shaped by tradition and the church, but not without questioning both. He encountered art and music in the old local monastery. He developed an interest in tradition and theology, art and culture, analysis and exchange.

After studying theology, he alternated between parish work and editorial work for the church newspaper or church website, as well as public relations work. In addition, there were publications on art, culture and the Bible, often inspired by exploratory travel. He would also like to awaken the joy of discovery for topics of art, culture and religions with his conference offerings and make content visible and tangible.
